BoomSheBoom is the brain-child of Lizz Harris; artist, teacher, and lifelong student of self-improvement in various forms.
The company evolved based on the belief that women love feeling good and looking good while living each day to the fullest and most joyful possible.
Let's face it...Life just goes better when you are wearing something comfortable that you love and look great in!
These are the tools I use in making my art-wear......
- Color- a powerful healer, bringing about a sense of well-being.
- Texture - silk against the skin is a definite feel-good.
- Positive messages - contained within the garments, in the form of quotes by notable women, artists, and philosophers serve as support, encouragement, affirmation, validation, mantra ......
My work is meant to be enjoyed and also shared with loved ones. We all need to nurture ourselves, each other and the planet with its many miraculous creatures.
The process of emerging whole and beautiful as abutterfly from a period of nurturing in a protective "cocoon" resonates with me as a timely analogy in these times when so many of us are facing big challenges in our lives financially, physically & emotionally.
We are surviving, and thriving too! As women do!
In support of the brave women who are dealing with illness, Lizz has designed and made (with help from her fav. student peeps) a huge batch of "Hope Scarves" for the American Cancer Society in Knoxville for their fundraising event, the Hope Gala at the Blackberry Farm in August.
To keep the ball rolling in my own small way, BoomSheBoomwill donate silk scarves to local Cancer Relief Services anda percentage of sales is donated to women's cancer research.
